Omchat

Updates on the illustration I did for the Omcha tea labels. My work has started rolling out on the products!

I got some beautiful official product photos from owner Meg, and it's really amazing to see my images sitting within context on a real product. That people can buy!

In the Feels

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm very much head down in Transformers: CYBERWORLD. It's a lot of fun and I'm very much enjoying it, despite how intense and stressful it can be sometimes.

That being said, I am still putting my feelers out for other things. I've had a couple of conversations and my fingers are crossed to work on some more exciting projects.

I'm more than happy to work on things alongside Transformers and I'm looking to keep writing that show for as long as they'll let me.

I'm also really, really keen to look into the Doctor Who preschool show that is being developed. I've been sleuthing for leads for a while and I haven't got anything concrete yet. I'm a big fan of the show and sci-fi in general and my experience in kid's entertainment just feels like an ideal fit.

If you happen to be reading this and know of anything or any way I can get in touch with the people working on the show - please let me know!!
(I'm just super keen, guys!)

Sad Firetruck Noise 🚒

It would seem that the show reboot I was writing for has moved production internally. There are still 3 and a half episodes I wrote that have not yet been produced - if they make it to launch I will update here.

My services as an animatic artist and writer are still available to those interested. Example below:

NEW SHOWREEL

This is my 2016 showreel, which also handily gives a rundown of most of the projects I've been working on during late 2015-16.

News

I recently took on a commission that's a little exciting. I've finished the first part of the overall workload (unfortunately it's the smallest part) but it should be complete in around a month.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the project, I can't reveal any of the details until it is made public. As soon as it is I will put all the material on here, but in the meantime, sit tight.

Hotting Up

I was pitched a brief, by a company, based on an pro-NHS campaign. They wanted me to come up with some ideas on how to animate the script they'd written.
I sent a written treatment and they requested some style boards for further consideration.
Below are my rough designs (they wanted a specific style):

Comical

Inspired by a project called Twitter The Comic, wherein a group of artists illustrate selected tweets and turn them into short strips, I have decided to practice my comicbook illustration by producing fully-fledged comic pages based on tweets I find amusing.

Below are some preliminary sketches based on two tweets I saw today.

I'll post more when I've collated some finished pages.
