Cup of Char

I've been enlisted by a tea brand to create a short informative animation going through the brewing process, step by step.

More details once the video is finished and live, but in the meantime here are some WiP images.

Devising palette and recreating logo in vector form to pin down style.

Working on final imagery for one of the steps.

Rough animation in composition mockup.

More rough sketches for steps, looking at potential angles for the action.

Animal Mechanicals

At the end of 2018 I took part in a writer's room to work on a reboot of the series Animal Mechanicals. We came up with a number of episode concepts and I was lucky enough to write the script for one of the final episodes.

This is "A Cave Situation Indeed" or Cave In as it is called here.

I decided to make Mouse the hero, as she was one of the executive's least favourite characters and I took that as a challenge to redeem her. Maybe it worked... who knows?

Utter Balls

Been working on a classic "bouncing ball" animation for a sing-a-long video.

Client provided the video, I merely transcribed the lyrics and overlaid them with the custom animation.

NEW SHOWREEL

This is my 2016 showreel, which also handily gives a rundown of most of the projects I've been working on during late 2015-16.

It's not MY Life

I've got an in-house job at a company/campaign called Your Life. It's ostensibly video editing work, but I will post any animation-based updates on here as they come.

Oh, Be-Hiive

Online creative magnates, Hiive asked if they could display some of my work at a venue for one of their Swarm parties. I said they could and they sent me some photos of my images on display.

News

I recently took on a commission that's a little exciting. I've finished the first part of the overall workload (unfortunately it's the smallest part) but it should be complete in around a month.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the project, I can't reveal any of the details until it is made public. As soon as it is I will put all the material on here, but in the meantime, sit tight.
